The former site of Steamers Seafood House in Bethesda was put on the market last year after the restaurant closed, and the developer who bought it is moving forward with a development plan

Novo Properties bought the site for $4.7M and plans to build a 58-unit apartment building with 2,800 SF of commercial use, Bethesda Magazine reports.

The Montgomery County Planning Board will vote next week on Novo's plan for a mixed-use building up to 110 feet tall totaling 73,200 SF. County planners are recommending approval of the plan and the board is expected to give it the green light.

The 0.3-acre site at 4820 Auburn Ave sits on the same block as Donohoe's Gallery Bethesda apartments. [BETH]
