Spaces Signs On For 50K SF Coworking Space At The Boro
The Boro development team has landed a deal for its first coworking space at the Tysons megaproject.
The Meridian Group announced Thursday coworking provider Spaces signed on for around 50K SF and plans to open later this year.
Spaces will open on the fourth and fifth floors in The Loft, a mixed-use building at The Boro with three stories of office above two stories of retail. The office space features 14-foot ceilings and the lobby sits directly across from the Whole Foods that plans to open this fall.
"You could not ask for a better coworking space location," Meridian Group Senior Vice President Tom Boylan said in a release. "Everyone here will benefit from the incredible amenities outside their front door."
CBRE's Terry Reiley, Anna Faktorow and Rosanne Richards represented Meridian in the deal, while JLL's Jennifer Ziegler and Jake Katz represented Spaces, a subsidiary of IWG. Spaces has been growing throughout the D.C. region in recent years with deals in NoMa, Rosslyn, Chevy Chase, Downtown D.C. and Reston.
The deal at The Loft comes as the 20-story Boro Tower is nearly 80% leased to tenants including Tegna, Hogan Lovells and KPMG. The development will also feature a 14-screen Kerasotes Showplace Theatres and several restaurant offerings.
