Company: Boutique capital markets advisory focused on recaps, joint ventures, and sales. 
Job: Up at dawn, spend couple of hours on e-mail before heading to Georgetown HQ. Day spent phoning and e-mailing clients, investors, and collaborators. Travel is about 30%, including international. Headed to Munich next month for ExpoReal. (This will be 20th attended)
Notable projects: Related Cos. and Renard Development joint venture to pursue FBI HQ; District Apartments (14th & S Streets) joint venture between JBG and Grosvenor; and $90M sale of Cityside Apartments to Dubai investor; $45M GSA-leased building sale to Spanish family; and Greystar's $110M joint venture for second residential tower in Tysons. 
Current project: Representing JBG’s $100 million joint venture development of Tysons West phases II and III.
Grew up: City of Fairfax.
Current home: Arlington.
Schools: UVA and University of Colorado Boulder.
First job: Delivered Washington Post from 5th grade through college. Route was entire UVA campus. 
Dream job in another life: Mom – job is difficult, rewarding, important to humanity, and so different than being a dad. 
Most admired person: “My wife – she’s an architect, mother, and incredibly patient.”
Greatest fear: Snakes.
Talent most wanted: To sing CPE Bach’s “Magnificat.”
Favorite movie: Memento and Body Heat – love surprise endings.
Favorite restaurants: Acqua Al 2 (Capitol Hill) and Pupatella (Arlington).
Favorite book: Going Solo by Roald Dahl.
Favorite vacation: Soglio on Lake Como’s headwaters (Switzerland).
Three things needed if on deserted island: Sunscreen, beer, and satellite phone.
Family facts: Married 34 years; three (happily employed) grown children; and two rescued hound dogs.
Hobbies: Aerial photography with personal drone. Favorite mission was West River with UIP founder Wout Coster and seeing his oyster beds and new runabout. Also, sailing. Made passage to Bermuda six times. Came in 16th out of 165 sailboats in Newport-Bermuda Race in June.
Biggest fish caught: 140-pound big-eye tuna 200 miles off Block Island last month. (Then Joe Bonner caught a 160 pounder.)
Startling fact: Have over 1,000 Twitter followers. (Only used professionally for clipping service.)
