S2 Development Gets Financing

For 31-Unit Benning Road Project

EagleBank has provided a loan to Lee and Phil Simon, on behalf of S2 Development, LLC for the acquisition and construction of a multi-family project located at 2101 Benning Road, NE. The existing tire store and parking garage were built in 1933, and together, currently provide 560 SF of existing building space on the 6,337.5 SF lot. Located along the new DC Streetcar line, the project is only blocks away from the many amenities of the H Street, NE area. The completed project will provide 31 apartment units, including two affordable units. Construction begins early 2018 for unit delivery in early 2019. The five-story plus penthouse Art Deco-inspired building will encompass 24,898 SF of conveniently-located multifamily living space. It will be the first new multi-family building to be located in the eastern most part of this planned area of upcoming development.
