Dilan Investments Planning 12-Unit Apartment Building In Northeast
A vacant property in the Northeast quadrant of DC may have a new life in its future as an apartment building.
Dilan Investments filed paperwork with zoning to redevelop the property at 1904 Irving St NE, which is between Brookland and Woodridge. Plans call for a three-story building with 12 units, Curbed reports.
Zoning documents indicate the existing structure will be completely demolished to make way for the new building. The apartments will all be one-bedroom units, with each floor set to house four units. Bentone Design Build has been tasked with design for the project, which will also include 12 parking spaces.
This is the latest redevelopment proposal for the red-hot section of Northeast DC, an area that has some huge projects in the pipeline. Among the projects on tap are Edens’ Union Market at 1309 Fifth St NE, Douglas Development’s massive NewCityDC project on New York Ave, and Kettler’s Market Terminal project on Morse Street. [Curbed]
