PUDs Filed For Park View Neighborhood

Placeholder

A development team led by Park View Community Partners has filed a pair of PUD applications for DC’s Park View neighborhood.

The team is comprised of The Community Builders, Dantes Partners and architect Torti Gallas Urban. The project will start with a revamp of the Bruce Monroe Community Park, followed by mixed-income development, and close out with the redevelopment of the Park Morton public housing complex.

The planned redevelopment of the community park has touched a nerve with area residents, but Park View Community Partners has assured us the park space will remain open during construction. For the mixed-income development, plans call for a 189-unit apartment building fronting Georgia Avenue, a senior housing apartment building with 76 units, and eight three-bedroom townhomes.

For Park Morton, the team plans to deliver over 180 units that will be a combination of public, workforce/affordable and market-rate housing. The total development is scheduled to be completed in three phases.
