New Interactive Map Helps Identify Neighborhood Cultures

Placeholder

A new interactive map from ESRI can help point you in the right direction when seeking a neighborhood that suits your personality. Each ZIP code across the US is classified by its culture and divided into 67 distinctive identities. Among the findings for the DC area is that downtown appears to be overrun with members of a category known as “dorms to diplomas.” This category is composed of Millennials who spend their days studying, socializing, shopping and blogging—not necessarily in that order. The western side of the city in ZIP code 20037 is apparently in the midst of an interesting social experiment. Residents in the area are comprised of a combination of “metro renters,” “laptops and lattes” and “golden years.” [Curbed]
