Walgreens Coming To Anacostia Building On Good Hope Road SE
Residents in Anacostia will soon be welcoming another national retailer to the neighborhood. Walgreens is set to take up space at the neighborhood icon known as the “Anacostia” building at 1117 Good Hope Rd SE.
Walgreens will be the latest national retailer, following 7-Eleven and Little Caesars, to put down some roots in Anacostia, Congress Heights on the Rise reports. The Anacostia building will need some work to make that become a reality, as years of neglect have led to a rundown site that will require extensive interior and exterior renovations. No word yet on when Walgreens will deliver, but interior demolition work is in progress.
