Building of the Future in Rockville?

CBRE's Andy Cole (along with colleague Dan McGivney) has just been tapped to lease 12358 Parklawn Dr, the office/data center spec project in Rockville. Andy tells us the 100k SF project, which China-based owner Greencourt Group will break ground on in May, will be unlike any other in the submarket, with 12- to 14-foot ceilings and wide-open floor plans not typically seen in Rockville's older stock of buildings. (Could this be a sign the Wizards are going to draft a tall center?) And the data center aspect offers something else unique—tenants can keep their data requirements on site and not have to pay for costly third-party vendors.
