Last Night with Power Women!

Washington, D.C. Office

The biggest event in Washington last night wasn't on the Hill. No, it was at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, where 700 packed in to celebrate the top women in commercial real estate. (Sorry, Mr. President.)

We snapped a group of our 40 Power Women honorees shortly after receiving their awards. The building was buzzing as friends and colleagues old and new enjoyed a live band, fantastic networking, and some great culinary treats.

One such winner, Lacy Ltd prez Debra Lacy (in blue), welcomed longtime client Martin Lamb of Credit Suisse (middle) in all the way from New York. Martin says Credit Suisse has worked with Debra and husband Ben (far right) on seven deals totaling $700M over the years. They were joined by WMATA's Steve Teitelbaum and Lacy Ltd's Pascale Piquion.

Three winners and a construction guy: Sherry Cushman of Cushman & Wakefield, Sabret Flocos of FOX Architects, and Janet Davis of Brandywine Realty Trust surround Rand Construction prez Jon Couch. We're not sure whether Sherry, Sabret, and Janet were happier to be honored last night or to be indoors, as we snapped them just after they exited the tundra outside.

Jon's colleague and honoree, Rand CEO Linda Rabbitt (right) paused working the room to pose with NMWA director Susan Fisher Sterling and ECB Commercial Construction's Jean Assuncao.

Honoree Joan Bialek of Bialek Environments was joined by son (and colleague) Jeremy Levitt and husband Lou Levitt (bow tie), as well as Clark Enterprises chief Larry Nussdorf.

All-lawyer shot: honorees Becky Owen of Clark Enterprises, Goulston & Storrs' Maureen Dwyer, and Spartin Planning's Anne Planning flank DLA Piper's Jay Epstein.

Hanging out on the museum's grand balcony were some CoStar ladies: Kirstie Boatright, Mollye Schneeberg, Mari Millard, and Cindy Clarke, who tells us she's managing the firm's new research efforts in the Toronto market.

Celebrity restaurateurs Christianne Ricchi and Ris Lacoste posed before returning to their gourmet dishes. (If that were us, somehow everything would be burned in the 30 seconds we looked away.) A big thanks to our sponsors last night: Arent Fox, Cushman & Wakefield, CREW DC, Hunton & Williams, The JBG Cos, Bruce Pike Productions, Washington Workplace and Women Giving Back.
