More Consolidation On the Way?
Mergers and acquisitions aren't just happening among the Fortune 400. The brokerage world is buzzing with changes, too, based on the Savills-Studley merger (our Houston reporter caught up with Studley CEO Mitch Steir last week on the move). Cushman & Wakefield's Brian Tucker (left) tells us firms will continue to align when opportunities present themselves to add to service lines. As the hunt for bigger market share continues, Brian (with colleagues Moe Hamilton and John Dragelin) says "real estate firms have to be able to provide the vast array of services and expertise our clients demand." (Once Amazon went from selling books to, well, everything, everyone had to keep up.)
