The Collins Machine
Led by brothers Paul and Bill Collins, Cassidy Turley's DC investment sales team is a powerhouse, regularly brokering nine-figure deals. It's why we're excited that Bill will be joining the Money panel at our 5th annual Washington Real Estate Summit May 7 at the Wardman Park.
Paul and Bill are native Washingtonians and both College Park grads, and Bill tells us his team is on track this year to top 2013's multi-billion dollar production levels. But he says his group's success is really due to an integrated team effort, with experts in office, multifamily, and debt and equity that give clients "one-stop shopping." (We only prefer two-stop shopping when testing out new brakes.) And the brothers' client list is a Who's Who of DC's institutional investors, including Teachers, Hines, Brookfield, Boston Properties, Tishman Speyer, Vornado, and Principal Financial, among others.
Here's the Exxon campus in Fairfax, which the team is marketing. Bill says a continued worldwide interest in real estate as an asset class has also aided his team's success. The double-digit yields real estate currently offers (combined with the wave of attractive debt available) are "impossible to achieve in fixed income and hard to achieve in the stock market on a consistent basis," he tells us. And it's why a gateway market like DC sees so many sales, and why Cassidy, HFF, JLL, Eastdil, Transwestern, CB, and other investment sales groups have been so busy the past few years.
Bill and Paul were snapped last summer with team members Drew Flood, Jud Ryan, and James Cassidy. The group also includes Jayne Shister handling smaller, more complex investment sales, Chris Doerr on multifamily, and the Brad Geiger/Phil Mudd and John Campanella/Paul Spellman duos handling financing. Find out if Bill always purposely wears that tie in all Bisnow photos by coming to our May 7 summit.
