WENDY FELDMAN BLOCK
Wendy Feldman Block, here with her family in the Adirondacks, watched her father (a Northern Virginia real estate attorney) work on leases and development projects and first thought she would also go into law. Turns out, tenant rep work was more appealing. She’ll celebrate 27 years at Studley in February. She’s worked with everything from large law firms to nonprofits.
One of her most exciting, recent deals—aside from the annual 24 Hours of Booty bike ride she does with friends to raise money for cancer—was helping the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority find 50k SF of office space so it could be closer to the Dulles Toll Road and the Silver Line. It was a quick turnaround: An RFP for brokers was put out in late February, and a lease was signed in June. She also helped SPX Corp relocate in 2001 to Charlotte, NC, and with its construction of a new 250k SF HQ last year. Working with nonprofits like YearUp has also been rewarding. She helped the organization (which provides urban, young adults with skills, experience, and support for a professional career) move from Rosslyn to Crystal City.
