What is a Bizzy?
You've heard of the Tony, Emmy, and Grammy. We felt commercial real estate should not be left out. It's amazing not only what brilliant individuals we have here who have fashioned the landscape of modern Washington, but how, due to their singing and acting ability, they may not qualify for those other awards. So we created the Bizzy, which we bestow on hall of famers for their extraordinary lifetime vision and achievement. It's made of the finest synthetic crystal and depicts flying super-business-people.
We don't allow them, however, just to come and collect their hardware. They also graciously sit for a live interview about their life, lessons, and advice. Our pantheon to date includes: Bob Kogod (above, receiving his award from Bob Kettler, Mitchell Schear, and Tom Bozzuto), Milt Peterson, Tony Williams, Til Hazel, Robert E. Simon, and Lois Zambo. Developer Chip Akridge and Clyde's founder John Laytham are due to get Bizzies next month. And there will be more, of course. We are lucky to have these folks in our community (and some probably sing better than we realize).
