AREP Signs Virginia Spine Institute To Long-Term Lease At International Tower
American Real Estate Partners has signed the Virginia Spine Institute to a long-term lease at International Tower at Reston Heights (rendered above), formerly known as the Reston International Center.
The institute has signed on for 33k SF at the 15-story, 179k SF tower, which is at 11800 Sunrise Valley Dr in Reston. VSI has made its home in Reston for more than 25 years, and its new location will serve patients from all over the world.
AREP acquired the property back in 2015 for $35M, and subsequently undertook a multimillion-dollar renovation project. The renovations are slated to be completed by the end of this year, and include a redesigned, expanded main lobby and the addition of a 400-vehicle parking structure.
The International Tower is within walking distance of the planned Reston Town Center Silver Line Metrorail station. Not too far away, Brookfield Properties has filed plans for a massive mixed-use development at the site of two of its existing properties at 12000 and 12018 Sunrise Valley Dr.
