Clements Worldwide Signs 21k SF Lease At One Franklin Square
Insurance company Clements Worldwide has just signed a 21k SF lease at One Franklin Square, which will function as the "insurance solutions provider's" global HQ once the move is complete.
One Franklin is also the Washington Post's new HQ, where the paper takes up 242k SF of the renovated building's 625k SF.
A statement from Savills Studley, which repped Clements in the deal and also worked with the Post for its move, says the move to the newly renovated building, located at 1301 K Street NW, “directly reflects [Clement’s] rapid growth internally,” and will allow for future expansion.
Clements’ previous HQ was at One Thomas Circle NW, just two blocks down the street, where the firm leased 18k SF. The building also includes amenities like a fitness center, rooftop terrace and conference facility.
“We have doubled in revenue growth over the past five years and have aggressive targets for the next five,” says Clements CFO Tarun Chopra. “We needed a new space that would complement that growth.”
Savills Studley's executive managing director, Ben Plaisted, and corporate managing director Greg Scheipers repped Clements.
