Colliers Hires New Head Of D.C. Office
One of the nation's largest commercial real estate firms has a new leader of its D.C. office.
Colliers International announced Monday it hired Matthew Gannon as executive managing director and D.C. market leader.
Gannon spent the last five years at Paramount Group, where he led the leasing efforts for the company's 1.8M SF D.C.-area office portfolio. During his tenure, the portfolio's occupancy increased from 68% to 98.5%, according to a Colliers press release.
Prior to Paramount, Gannon spent 15 years with Vornado Realty Trust. While at Vornado, he worked on several major office deals, including Sidley Austin's 289K SF lease at 1501 K St. NW.
“Over the course of his career, Matt has established himself as one of the most accomplished and well-respected real estate executives in the D.C. region,” Colliers President David Amsterdam said in a release. “He is uniquely qualified to lead Colliers in the greater D.C. market given his sterling reputation and extensive expertise on both the tenant and landlord sides of the business."
Gannon will replace Dave Parker, whom Colliers hired as its regional head in 2016. Parker will remain with the firm as a broker focused on investment sales and leasing in the Dulles area, a Colliers spokesperson said.
