Deloitte Adds 120K SF To Rosslyn Footprint
Consulting firm Deloitte is adding five floors to its Rosslyn office at 1919 North Lynn St., continuing the momentum in Northern Virginia's office market.
The firm is subleasing 120K SF from Gartner, bringing its footprint in the Waterview building to 450K SF, the Washington Business Journal reports.
Gartner, which recently acquired CEB, has begun vacating the space as part of its move to Rosslyn's Central Place, though it still has another 10 years on its lease at 1919 North Lynn.
The 24-story, 647K SF tower sits about three blocks from the Rosslyn Metro station and overlooks the Key Bridge with views across the Potomac River into D.C.
Morgan Stanley acquired the building in May from Paramount for $413M.
With the deal, Deloitte's Rosslyn office becomes the largest of its 13 D.C.-area locations. Deloitte's expansion represents net growth for Rosslyn and for Northern Virginia's office market, which has begun to show signs of improvement as it looks to bring down its vacancy rate, which has hovered around 20% for nearly five years. NoVa recorded 866K SF of net absorption in Q1, according to Newmark Knight Frank, its strongest quarter since 2010.
