Fannie Mae to Take Wash Post HQ

Congrats to Carr Properties on snagging Fannie Mae for Carr's planed mixed-use development on 15th St, replacing the current Washington Post HQ. Fannie is consolidating its HQ from 1M SF of owned and leased space in multiple buildings to a 700k SF space. Initially Fannie was looking at 555 12th St, but speculation is high that it may have received an offer it couldn’t refuse (no horse heads involved), especially given a sluggish office leasing market. No word on a move-in date or guesstimate of when development will be complete, but Fannie Mae plans to sell its Wisconsin Avenue HQ (above). Now the guessing begins: to whom?
