This year, Merriweather Row has seen robust leasing activity catalyzed by Howard Hughes’ top-of-the-line renovations. New tenants include New York-based medical screening and early detection firm Polymedco, which selected Merriweather Row as its first office outside of New York City, a testament to the appeal of Downtown Columbia’s premier office district.

Polymedco is joined by award-winning, women-owned IT solutions company Apex IT and design firm Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. The unique offerings at Merriweather Row are driving renewals and expansions, including with construction firm Harkins Builders, which will be staying in its nearly 30K SF space for another 10 years.

There are more than 20 popular restaurants in walking distance of Merriweather Row, such as Banditos, Peter Chang and Busboys and Poets. The Food Market and Vacation & Chill, two popular local dining spots, are located in Merriweather Row. Tenants have no trouble finding a cuisine that suits their preferences.

Tenants also benefit from the food options at the Lakefront and The Columbia Mall, providing ample options for a quick lunch break, grabbing some groceries at Whole Foods or after-hours celebrations at one of the many restaurants nearby.

In addition to these culinary hot spots, there are more than 800 new apartments between two new residential buildings, Juniper and Marlow, right in the heart of the Merriweather District as well as the apartment buildings at Ten M Flats and Metropolitan — all steps from Merriweather Row. 

Merriweather Post Pavilion, named one of the nation’s top amphitheaters, sits across the street from Merriweather Row and remains one of the region's top attractions.
