Renderings for New Fannie Mae HQ Filed with DC’s BZA
Renderings for the new Fannie Mae HQ on 15th Street NW have been filed with DC’s Board of Zoning Adjustment. The new office building will be 85% leased by Fannie and replace the Washington Post HQ. SHoP Architects and WDGArchitecture have been working with building owner Carr Properties on the project, Urban Turf reports. The filing notes that the building, inclusive of the existing Columbia Center, will consist of close to 1.2M SF of gross floor area. The proposed addition will have 12 floors with a retail mezzanine and be 130 feet tall. Fannie's slated to occupy the new building in late 2017. The Washington Post is moving to 1301 K St NW at One Franklin Square next year. [UT]
