VideoBlocks Signs For 21K SF At Arlington's Courthouse Tower, Moving HQ From Reston
Arlington has lured a growing tech company away from Reston.
VideoBlocks will triple its current footprint with a 21K SF, full-floor lease in Courthouse Tower at 1515 North Courthouse Road, the Washington Business Journal reports.
The company provides a subscription-based digital library of videos, graphics and music tracks to amateur filmmakers. In 2015, its annual subscription revenue had grown 74% and it had 53 employees. The company appointed a new CEO, TJ Leonard, last year.
It has now outgrown its current 7,500 SF office at 10780 Parkridge Blvd. in Reston and plans to move to Arlington later this year. Lincoln Property oversees leasing for the landlord, an affiliate of Multi-Employer Property Trust, and JLL's Jay Farmer represented the tenant.
The lease will help fill some of the 42K SF space in Courthouse Tower that OPower will vacate next year when it moves to Carr Properties' 2311 Wilson Blvd.
