Transwestern Hires Northern Virginia Tenant Broker From Cushman & Wakefield
Transwestern is beefing up its Northern Virginia team with a new hire from Cushman & Wakefield.
The firm brought on 22-year D.C. real estate veteran Mike Wiley as executive vice president in its Tysons office, where he will work in the tenant advisory services practice.
Wiley began working in the industry in 1996 at Equis, where he helped launched the firm's D.C. office before it was acquired by DTZ, which then merged with Cushman & Wakefield in 2015. He has worked with several major D.C.-area office tenants such as Harris Corp., when he helped complete its 161K SF Northern Virginia office consolidation.
“What attracted me to Transwestern is the entrepreneurial culture, where you have the freedom to create your own success,” Wiley said in a release. “Transwestern offers the agility and flexibility of a boutique agency with all the resources of a national platform. There’s a commitment here to continue growing the Tenant Advisory Services practice while remaining privately owned."
The move follows Transwestern's January hire of Joe Ritchey, the legendary Northern Virginia broker who leased Reston Town Center's office space. Transwestern's NoVa office is located at 7900 Tysons One Place and is led by Senior Managing Director Tom Rogers.
“Mike brings an incredible depth and breadth of experience, and we’re excited to bring him on board to continue the growth of Transwestern’s Tenant Advisory Services practice," Rogers said.
