Is Rosslyn the Next DC?
That question is why we're holding a big event there Monday morning. It's got better views, lower taxes, easier access to airports, and more parking.
This morning, we snapped the view from the 31st floor of 1000 Wilson Blvd that you'll see for yourself at our event. Sure, Rosslyn needs more restaurants and nightlife, but it's getting a lot more suddenly (have you tried the new, jam-packed Heavy Seas?), and in the meantime you can always walk over the Key Bridge to Georgetown. If that's not your diversion, it's got a lot more running and bicycle paths than you'll find on 14th Street.
Here's Key Bridge looking into Rosslyn, snapped around 1:30pm today. That's Monday's 1812 North Moore with the pyramid top, aka the tallest building in the region.
And here's some of the Bisnow crew preparing the 20,000 SF space with 20 foot ceilings we're going to be using for the event. We're making the format quite different from anything we've done before: no panels, but a series of 8-minute TED talks on the present and future of the submarket. And (we're not making this up) we will even have a jazz band onstage playing between speakers. You'll just have to be there to see it.
