Last Night at ULI
Bill Alsup's the Man!
Who else can bring out venerable Hines founder Gerry Hines (center, with wife Barbara)? Last night, ULI Washington toasted Bill with its Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Building Museum. Bill’s more than the guy behind CityCenterDC. He founded Hines’ DC office three decades ago and has developed 5.6M SF, including Columbia Square, Franklin Square and the Gannett/USA Today HQ. And he’s not done. CityCenter Phase 2 will break ground next year.
Lots of big names came out in support. Here's Brookfield’s Greg Meyer, Boston Properties’ Ray Ritchey, Rand Construction’s Linda Rabbitt and Brookfield’s Dave Bevirt.
And Argo Development's Richard Perlmutter with Bozzuto Development's Jamie Gorski and John Slidell (who's also the immediate past chairman of ULI Washington).
Bozzuto Construction's Mike Schlegel and Washington Property's Charlie Nulsen.
And Norcross Boldt's Sarosh Olpadwala with Clark Construction's Matt Haas and Jared Oldroyd.
