Those of you following debate on the future of the MLK library in DC may want to consider the example of Seattle's central Public Library, which we snapped this morning. Designed by Dutch architects 10 years ago, it has created an oasis for the local community in the heart of the city's commercial area. And that's the lesson its fans point to: make it a warm and inviting place to walk in to.
