Jim Underhill Heading Back to the Brokerage Business
Jim Underhill (whom we snapped here with his wife, Liz), ex-CEO of the Americas for Cushman & Wakefield, is getting back into the real estate brokerage business. He has joined tenant-rep brokerage Cresa as an adviser to the board of directors. Underhill was previously founder and president of The Staubach Co’s Northeast region, a direct competitor of Cresa. Staubach was acquired by JLL prior to Underhill’s move to C&W. Cresa is looking to build its brand across the US, and Underhill believes it could develop a national footprint as the industry continues to consolidate. Underhill parted ways with C&W last year and was replaced by John Santora. He also serves as chairman at real estate tech firm Create, a role he will continue to hold. [WBJ]
