Last Call from ICSC
On Tuesday night at Brown Craig Turner's ICSC bash at Rosa Mexicano in National Harbor, we snapped firm CEO Bryce Turner with Safway Services' Kim LaPira, MacKenzie's Tom Fidler, and Merkel Design Studio's Nina Merkel. Bryce tells us the firm is working on the conversion of Baltimore's iconic 10 Light St to residential; it also designed five of National Harbor's waterfront buildings.
Also at the Brown Craig Turner bash, LF Jennings' Wes Mountain (with Joe LaCagnina of Ahold—the parent company of Giant) told us his firm is working on several retail repositioning projects, such as University Mall in Fairfax.
The bright lights of National Harbor almost made us think we were at the Vegas ICSC show. A few drinks in and the old man in "The Awakening" statue sort of looks like Wayne Newton.
