Fabio Trabocchi Opening First NoVa Restaurant In Rosslyn
One of D.C.'s top restaurateurs is venturing across the river with his first Northern Virginia opening.
Fabio Trabocchi plans to open the second location of his Sfoglina concept in a 4,500 SF space at Rosslyn's 1100 Wilson Blvd., the Washington Business Journal reports.
The restaurant is expected to open in late 2018 or early 2019. It will have over 200 seats, including a sidewalk café and seating spilling into the office tower's lobby. Monday Properties, the building's owner, told the WBJ it is the first of what it hopes will be multiple Trabocchi restaurants around the property, which is also home to Politico and ABC's local affiliate, WJLA.
Trabocchi opened the first Sfoglina, a casual Italian restaurant concept, at 4445 Connecticut Ave. NW in 2016, and the restaurant in October received a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand award, recognizing top restaurants at a lower price point. Trabocchi, also known for popular D.C. restaurants such as Fiola and Fiola Mare, in October opened Spanish restaurant Del Mar at The Wharf.
