Fast-Casual Chain Honeygrow Planning To Open 8 New D.C.-Area Locations
After opening its first two D.C.-area locations in 2016, fast-casual stir-fry chain Honeygrow is planning a major expansion.
The Philadelphia-based chain plans to open eight more D.C.-area outposts in the next two years, Eater reports.
Honeygrow's first two D.C. locations opened last year in Chinatown and Pentagon City. The fast-casual spot features touch-screen ordering and a variety of noodles, rice, vegetables, meats and sauces that can be put in its customizable bowls.
The chain has since signed two leases in Rockville and Tysons, both expected to open in 2018. It is also looking at submarkets such as Navy Yard, Downtown D.C., Silver Spring, Bethesda and Reston. The expansion could make D.C. the chain's largest market. Honeygrow has seven locations in Philadelphia, two in Baltimore, two in New York City and one in Boston.
