Lower-Cost Version of Forever 21 Could Be Coming to DC Area
F21 Red, a lower-cost version of fashion retailer Forever 21, could be coming to downtown Silver Spring.
The bargain retailer is in negotiations for a 13.5k SF location at the Ellsworth Place mall at 8661 Colesville Rd in Silver Spring. Ellsworth Place is owned by Rockwood Capital and Petrie Richardson Ventures, which purchased the mall in 2012 and have been renovating it ever since. The mall currently houses several other bargain retailers, including Burlington Coat Factory and Marshall’s.
F21 Red opened its first location in California last year. The brand focuses on similar staples to those offered by its parent company, just at a cheaper price point. [WBJ]
