Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Redesigned for the Future
Who would've thought the legalization of marijuana would lead to such architecturally stunning dispensaries? Now that marijuana is legal it has quickly become America's fastest-growing industry, and it no longer has to hide behind blacked-out windows. Instead, they're out and proud, with bright, airy new interiors. Take Silver Peak, a dispensary in Aspen that embraces its inner snow bunny with a high-end ski lodge design, Curbed reports. Or San Francisco's Grass Roots (pictured), which features turquoise damask wallpaper and an antique display table. One dispensary, San Francisco's Sparc, won an AIA Interior Architecture Design Award for its "vaguely bong-shaped lights." [Curbed]
