A Queens, New York-based coffee roaster is planning to expand to the D.C. area with three new locations.

For Five Coffee announced Friday it signed on at two Carr Properties office buildings in Northern Virginia. It plans to open at 1800 Diagonal Road in Alexandria in October, and in November it plans to open at Arlington's 2311 Wilson Blvd., a new office building that Carr delivered last year.

The company also plans to open in Downtown D.C. this fall at 2001 L St. NW, according to its website. That building, part of the Alexander Court redevelopment from Rockrose Development and Spitzer Enterprises, also delivered last year.

In addition to coffee, the locations will include food options from chef Scheyla Acosta and carryout items for breakfast and lunch.

"Carr Properties is committed to fostering a strong sense of hospitality in the workplace through best-in-class amenities, and this partnership will allow us to continue to offer our customers quality food and beverage options," Carr Properties CEO Oliver Carr said in a release.

Friday's announcement also included a new For Five location at a Carr Properties building in Boston, 200 State St. The company has six locations open in New York, with two more planned, plus two in Los Angeles and one in Chicago. For Five said it plans to continue expanding in these cities.
