Savills Hires Broker From McCaffery To Lead New D.C. Retail Team
Brokerage firm Savills is launching a new retail practice in the D.C. area.
The firm announced Wednesday it hired Rory Cameron as a senior managing director based in D.C. to expand Savills’ retail platform in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Cameron spent the last 11 years at McCaffery, where he sold and leased retail projects in D.C., Pittsburgh and Chicago. Among Cameron’s recent projects was F1rst, the mixed-use development near Nationals Park that has landed several fast-casual retailers, a Declaration pizza restaurant and a Barre3 fitness studio.
London-based Savills, which recently rebranded from Savills Studley, has dozens of retail teams across the world, including major U.S. cities like New York and Los Angeles.
“Rory is joining a global team of talented retail specialists who work together across more than 70 countries around the world,” Savills Vice Chairman David Lipson said in a release. “His expertise in delivering value for his impressive roster of clients strengthens our portfolio and greatly benefits existing clients, in addition to creating new opportunities for the firm.”
