Here's a bit more detail: Afterhearing the same constructive feedback from users of the startup's inventory management software, he knew it was time torebrand. The Arlington, Va., company started by changing its name from Lemur IMS to Lemur Retail and launched a new website to grab the attention of a wider range of retailers. The product now makes analytics more available to the sales person using it. They'll be able to recommend products based on local demand and and track why customers aren't buying.
The startup tracked user feedback,talked to larger retailers about their pain points, andsought out retail expert and Fashion Institute of Technology professor Vincent Quan.Will says the product update allows the company to go after a wider range of retailers; many DC-based boutiques are now using the software. Will's best product change lesson: Get as many people using it as possible and listen to their feedback (even if it hurts).
