Women make uphalfof the US workforce but hold 25% of jobs in tech and computing fields. So we love to see events like this.A group of girls ages 8-12 learned how to write computer code last Saturday in DC as part of Girls Rule on the Web or GROW. Organized by DC Women of the Web, the grassroots effort motivates and teaches girls to enter male-dominated fields. At least 15 girls made their own websites by learning the ins and outs of HTML and CSS.
