European Cyber Companies Visit Fairfax County
This morning, a large delegation of Dutch and Flemish cyber-related companies visited Fairfax County as part of a relationship forged between the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority and The Hague Security Delta. Some of the 30 visiting companies gave presentations to a business group, including members of the MACH37 cybersecurity incubator, the Northern Virginia Tech Council and Lockheed Martin at the Tower Club. FCEDA executive director Jerry Gordon (right) says the Virginia delegation got hooked up with the Dutch and Flemish delegation through the county’s staff in Europe. The two cyber hubs have similar workforces and plan to work together on cyber-related solutions for both government and private sector needs. A memo of understanding between the FCEDA, the Hague Security Delta, Leaders in Security and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership was signed to do just that. (What's the Flemish word for Silver Line?)
