FiscalNote Makes International Acquisition
DC-based FiscalNote is on a roll—most recently with its acquisition of MyCandidate, a mobile app that aggregates and analyzes information about political candidates in South Korea. It’s a nice fit for FiscalNote’s legal analytics platform that tracks and forecasts legislative and policy data. The deal kicks off FiscalNote’s expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. Earlier this year, the 2-year-old startup raised $18.2M from investors like Mark Cuban, NEA and Renren. Earlier this month, Justin Scott joined as SVP of revenue after serving in VP roles at Tumblr and Zillow. But we like to think FiscalNote’s real success came after its founding team was featured in Bisnow’s 40 Under 40 list earlier this year.
