Oscar Celebrations
Boqueria's Oscars Viewing Party - (1837 M St NW) $45 gets you unlimited tapas and drinks, and a sweet ending of churros with a hot chocolate dipping sauce.
City Tap House Oscars Viewing Party - (901 I St NW) Enjoy Oscar blues beers, trivia contests, swag giveaways, and complimentary popcorn around the big copper bar (pictured above).
Commissary's Second Annual Oscars Viewing Party - (1443 P St NW) Oscar-themed cocktails (each guest gets one for free), a $5 popcorn bar, and Oscar-inspired food specials.
Helix Lounge's Oscars Happy Hour - (1430 Rhode Island Ave NW) Enjoy food and drinks specials with fun Oscar twists while watching the show on a 46" flat-screen TV.
Mardi Gras/Carnaval
Acadiana's Mardi Gras Celebration - $100 gets you all you can eat and drink along with live New-Orleans-style music in the restaurant's private banquet rooms.
Bayou Bakery's Bayou Gras - Next Tuesday, New Orleans native Chef/Owner David Guas (pictured with wife Simone Rathle) will be hosting the third annual Bayou Gras Block Party one block from the Clarendon Mardi Gras Parade route. The huge party tent will be filled with food, drinks, costumes, and Mardi Gras hijinks.
Buzz Bakery - (multiple locations) King cakes by pastry maestro Tiffany MacIsaac are available for $35 - special order required.
Del Campo - (777 I St NW) Tonight, enjoy $7 caipirinhas and a performance by the Leblon Samba Girls from 6-7pm.
Menu MBK - (405 8th St NW) Individual-sized king cakes will be available for $4.50 through March 4th.
Society Fair - A three-course prix fixe menu will be offered next Tuesday. Larry's Gumbo, Crawfish Monica, and King's Cake will be available for $65 or can be ordered a la carte.
Sticky Fingers - (1370 Park Rd NW) The popular vegan bakery will be selling made-to-order beignets March 4-5, and special-order king cakes March 1-4.
