Shake Shack CEO Shows for 4th Opening in DC

Shake Shack was born out of a line of fancy New York restaurants, including the drool-worthy Gramercy Tavern. But, the “fine casual” restaurant is thriving in DC. “We do well anywhere young, intelligent, hardworking people like to gather,” Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti tells us. He emphasized that he’s not in the fast-food business, given the quality of ingredients and other reasons. We snapped him at the opening of Union Station Shake Shack location—the 4th in DC.
