Ga May: A Grape Cause

Placeholder

If you visited Doi Moi this month you may have noticed the wine list was even funkier than normal. That’s because wine director Max Kuller swapped out all by-the-glass reds for Gamay as a part of a month-long initiative to show off the rare and expressive varietal. “Ga May” also sought to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research, the disease that claimed Max’s father’s life in October 2014. Mark Kuller was the celebrated restaurateur behind Proof, Doi Moi and Estadio. More than 25 other DC restaurants, bars and shops participated in Ga May in solidarity. Join in the fun May 29 when Max hosts a Ga May 2015 Grand Tasting at Prequel from 4-7pm ($55).
