Jamie Leeds' Next Move Stars Cocktails
When Jamie Leeds opened Hank’s Oyster Bar, she had no idea it would develop into a DC area cocktail authority. “It was my dream to just have a little restaurant of my own, but my staff saw opportunities and took advantage of them,” she tells us. It’s natural then, for her next move to be a craft cocktail bar in Petworth, where she calls home. Twisted Horn (819 Upshur St NW) will open in late spring inside a former church. We snapped Jamie with Megan Coyle, who will serve as general manager and cocktail guru. She’s known for savory drinks with chef-driven ingredients. “I put things together in unexpected ways,” she tells us. The neighborhood hangout will also have bar bites and patio seating. Joining Twisted Horn in the coming months in Petworth will be Slim’s Diner and J 'N G Tavern.
