Leukemia Ball Presented by PhRMA is March 28!
The 28th Annual Leukemia Ball presented by PhRMA takes place on Saturday, March 28, at the Washington Convention Center, expecting to raise $3.1M for innovative life-saving research and patient programs funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Senior co-chair and BB&T Bank Greater Washington region president Dan Waetjen (here with LLS executive director Beth Gorman and co-chair, KPMG’s Candy Duncan) says this year’s event “will be truly exceptional.” Seventy-six cents of every dollar spent by LLS funds its mission—finding a cure for blood cancers and improving the quality of life of patients and their families. Dan says a local family, the McLaughlins, will receive the 2015 James L. Eichberg Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Amgen, for their dedication to LLS and continuing efforts to help families who are suffering from the effects of these diseases. Attendees should expect top-notch entertainment from comedian Howie Mandel and musician Michael Cavanaugh. Learn more about our Bisnow partner at www.LeukemiaBall.org.
