Kimberly Wachen, Arent Fox
Kimberly is consistently recognized as one of DC's top commercial real estate Super Lawyers, and The Legal Times and her peers also named her "Real Estate Lawyer of the Year." She began as a CPA at a top accounting firm after graduating from Duke, but following law school at Penn, the native Washingtonian returned to join Arent Fox's DC office, where she's since advised developers, investors, borrowers and lenders on major real estate developments nationwide. She's repped Marriott International on numerous complex deals, such as a 1,000-room resort in San Antonio (including negotiating with the PGA over two golf courses on the property), and its new Editions hotels in New York and Miami Beach. She also reps hotel owners such as Capstone Lodging in acquiring limited service hotels, as well as investment companies dealing with office buildings. She represents NASDAQ in its leasing worldwide, and NorthStar Realty Finance and Sunrise Senior Living in acquisition, development and financing of senior living portfolios.
