Robert Gottlieb, Venable
Robert got his start after taking Tax Planning for Real Estate Transactions with now colleague Stef Tucker at GW Law School. After Robert graduated, Stef brought him on board as the seventh lawyer at his firm, Tucker Flyer (which grew to 60 before merging with Venable in 2000). The two have been practicing together since--and for a time, Robert co-taught that class. Along with handling tax and wealth planning, he reps sponsors and developers in real estate acquisition and development, and redevelopment of investment assets, with a focus on capital formation issues. (Fortunately, Robert was a math major at Penn State.) He recently represented developer StonebridgeCarras on its 2.5M SF Constitution Square, and has repped Rappaport in retail transactions like developing shopping centers for more than 30 years. The North Jersey native can often be found with his family--his wife of 38 years, Lois; son, Matt, and his wife Sarah, both NY marketing pros; and daughter, Samantha, a cybersecurity PhD candidate--on the links, or watching the Nats or Nittany Lions.
