Super Adisa!
Not everyone can relax with nachos and beer during the Super Bowl. Kelley Drye Sports Entertainment Group chair Adisa Bakari was hard at work... at the game.
There's no off-season for agents, Adisa tells us. His practice represents more than 30 NFL players, including the Bears' Matt Forte and Jaguars' Maurice Jones-Drew, snapped here with Adisa (left) and co-host Mike Depsey on MJD's SiriusXM show on Super Bowl radio row. For NFL players not participating in the actual game, SB week lets them "more fully appreciate the economic significance of the NFL brand," Adisa says, letting players widen and enhance their own individual brand appeal. He's stood on the sideline of every Super Bowl for more than a decade, and last year repped athletes on both sides.
Adisa and practice vice-chair Jeff Whitney logged miles on the recruiting trail and finished out the season by signing seven 2014 Draft prospects. Here's Adisa taking a break with Matt Forte and Steelers' Le'Veon Bell at a Super Bowl party.
Matt Forte lit up the Empire State Building with Verizon and MJD hosted a VH1 Super Bowl concert with Nick Cannon and Stacey Keibler. Their busy schedules and variety of client appearances stems from the practice's "one-stop shop" approach, Adisa tells us. Next, Adisa and Jeff are gearing up for the upcoming NFL combine and May draft.
