Venable Hosts Esther Lofgren and Athletes Without Limits
Showing it can take on more than cybersecurity, Venable recently held a sports-themed event, hostingOlympic gold medalist Esther Lofgren and Athletes Without Limits, a group dedicated to helping athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities accelerate in sports. Above, Esther (who won her gold in the London '12 Games for Women's Eights rowing) with the event chair, Venable DC litigation chair Doug Baldridge. Doug's daughter, Kelin, teaches rowing at AWL and races with the disabled athletes.Esther told the group about prepping for the Olympics and her strong support for AWL (and of course she let folkstry on her medal).

And we spotted some unusual lobby decor: an ultralight racing scull. Venable Foundation donated it to AWL. It's a Wintech Explorer Double with quick release rigging and seats that will accommodate able-bodied and physically disabled rowers, and will be rowed in major regattas throughout the region, including the para national championships.
