Who's That Lawyer in Colbert's Finale?

Last night, during the all-star sing-a-long for Stephen Colbert's final Colbert Report, we spotted one of DC's own legal celebrities belting to "We'll Meet Again" alongside Big Bird and Cyndi Lauper: Caplin & Drysdale's Trevor Potter. At right holding a briefcase, Trevor is a former FEC chairman and GC to McCain's presidential campaigns. He came on the Colbert Report in 2011 to discuss campaign finance and ended up making several appearances and helping Colbert create his Super PAC. Other lawyers we spotted in the crowd--which packed in dozens of cameos ranging from Henry Kissinger to James Franco to Yo-Yo Ma--included legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, Eliot Spitzer and Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton.
