AMY SUE LEAVENS - CAPITAL IMPACT PARTNERS
Amy Sue Leavens is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Capital Impact Partners. Since 1981, the nonprofit has distributed more than $2B to serve more than 3 million people and created 31,000 jobs, through program incubation, strategic financing, and partnerships and capacity building. Amy Sue joined the company in 2011 after time at Fannie Mae and DLA Piper. Though she handles a wide range of legal issues as GC, she says much involves corporate governance and corporate law, particularly related to financing and real estate development. In the last quarter, CIP became a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and participated in a $200M bond financing. Last year it was also named a "Top Workplace" by The Washington Post.
