DCLY's Fall Ball Honors Toni Bush
DC Lawyers for Youth honored NewsCorp EVP and Global Head of Government Affairs Toni Cook Bush with its inaugural Champion for Youth Award at its third annual Fall Ball. Here's Toni, center, surrounded by DCLY founder and executive director R. Daniel Okonkwo; DCLY board member and Corporate Advisory Board Assistant GC Pete MacLeod; DC College Access Program President and CEO Argelia Rodriguez; and DCLY board chair and attorney Sterling Ashby. Toni's a board member of the nonprofit My Brother's Keeper Alliance, which promotes educational opportunities, workforce training and criminal justice reforms that help the development of young men of color.

DCLY was founded in '07 by Georgetown Law Juvenile Justice Clinic alums who wanted to improve the DC juvenile justice system. It has championed reforms, such as limiting the number of minors held in adult jails, and represents youths charged with delinquency matters in DC Superior Court.
